This qualification is comparable to HNC / 2nd year - degree programme, and is designed for first line managers who have the responsibility for managing resources in own area of responsibility. The level 4 diploma allows you to strengthen your existing management and leadership skills and enhance your knowledge of the various roles and responsibilities of the first line manager. Candidates are required to complete 6 standards to achieve the qualification.
You must have Level 3, or SSCE or ’A’ Level and additional working years’ experience.
This qualification is a work based Learning with a course fee of GH¢25,250.00 to complete. The fee is payable to Mercia Business School Limited Ghana
The diploma can take between 9-12 months Candidates are required to attend an induction onto the course with assessor support as required.
Candidates are assessed via a practical work based assignment this ensures you minimise time away from work and you undertake work study which is relevant to your own organisations context. Portfolio of evidence is developed throughout the course.
Upon completion of the course candidates can apply for the award of Level 5 Affiliateship.

The City and Guilds PRA Level 4 qualification has exposed me to real-world scenarios and practical exercises that simulate the challenges and demands of the engineering industry. The award assisted me in gaining a certified automotive engineer with the IMI a professional body in the UK.
I was awarded the City and Guilds PRA Level 4 qualification in engineering (welding and fabrication). This qualification has added greater value to my work as a professional welder and a fabricator. The certificate has been evaluated to be equivalent to two years of a four year degree program by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission.
